The GWB files

An interactive look into the events leading up to and surrounding illegal lane closures at the George Washington Bridge in Fort Lee, NJ. The contents of the presentation include: the players involved; how the players are connected; what the lane closures did, in terms of the traffic jam and its impact on the town of Fort Lee; A timeline of the events and the aftermath and aftershocks of the investigation.
In 2014, this project was a finalist for the Digital Innovation Award presented by the N.Y. Deadline Club. It also received an Award of Merit from the Society of Silurians and an Award of Special Recognition from the N.J. Society of Professional Journalists
